It's been a very wet April here in Columbus, Ohio, with a relentless parade of thunderstorms and all-day drizzles; one dry day per week has been the norm. The southern part of the state has been dumped on even more, but we've had plenty! Here's a very short video of the Olentangy River flowing over the top of Griggs Dam; in summer it is just a trickle, but this Saturday ...
The above video, you may have noticed, is hosted by vimeo instead of YouTube. I'm doing this to see if I can provide a higher-quality version of the video; in an earlier post I documented some struggles with YouTube. It's also the first time I've used the AVCHD (1280x720) video mode on my camera.
The islands in the Olentangy River below the dam were flooded over. We walked down and saw debris in the trees indicating that the water had recently been few feet higher yet.
